What the blue check means Verified by Caribbean.Properties
It means we've confirmed the person is who they say they are, and that they really work as an agent — or, for a private owner, that they own the property. It's granted by us after a review, and no plan includes it at any price — a badge you could buy would tell you nothing. Accounts on the Free plan pay a $26 fee for the review itself, refunded in full if it doesn't pass; every other plan reviews at no charge.
How to read a profile
The same example agent, on the same plan, before and after review. Only the review changes what's shown.

Real Estate Agent at Example Realty
The blue check. Turned on by a reviewer once the checks below are done. No plan includes it, and only an admin account can set it.
What we confirmed, and when. Every verified profile carries this line, dated, so an old check reads as one. "Licence" appears only where the agent gave us a number and we confirmed it with the body for their market — in the Bahamas, the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA). Most markets keep no public register, so most profiles won't say it.
Their plan. What they pay us for — here Premium Partner, for more listings and higher placement. The badge shows the same with or without the check: paying for a plan doesn't add it.
An example, not a real agent. What the check doesn't change: their listings, and how you reach them — calls, WhatsApp and enquiries work the same either way.
For agents
- • Their email address is confirmed as theirs.
- • Photo ID matching the name they practise under.
- • A professional presence we've seen for ourselves: their agency's website, or a profile that shows them working as an agent under the same name.
- • Their licence too, where they gave us the number and we could confirm it — and only then does their profile say so.
For private owners
- • Their email address is confirmed as theirs.
- • Photo ID.
- • A title deed, land registry extract or tax bill showing they own the property.
The documents themselves are deleted as soon as we decide; we keep only the outcome.
Where we can also check a licence
Markets regulate agents very differently, and most keep no public register to check against — so a licence isn't something we require. Where an agent gives us their number, we confirm it with the body below for their market.

How ghost listings are kept out
The check is about people. These are about listings — whoever posted them.
Free listings have to be kept current
A free listing nobody has updated or confirmed for 60 days is flagged to its owner, and at 75 days it comes down until they confirm it's still available.
One free account per agent
Accounts that look like one agent or agency running several are flagged for an admin to review, and suspended if they are.
Reports go to a person
Every listing has “Report this listing”, for a scam, a property that's gone, wrong details or a duplicate. An admin reads each one and can take the listing down.
What it doesn't mean
The check is about who someone is and whether they really do this work — not a rating of their service, and not a guarantee about any particular listing. Unless a profile says “licence”, we haven't confirmed one. If something about a verified agent or listing doesn't look right, use “Report this listing” on the listing and we'll look into it.
Agents and owners can apply from their dashboard.
